CBE Originals
disco cuts vol. 2
CBE Originals — a drum loop series recorded at the legendary Studio CBE in Paris.
Tracked through vintage gear at Studio CBE, where Cerrone, Claude François and some of the most iconic French disco records of the ’70s came to life.
Performed and mixed by Florian Gouëllo at Studio CBE, Paris. Engineered by David Mestre.
Thanks to Studio CBE & David Mestre, my friends Julien Boyer & Olivier Raynaud for helping during the day, David Maurel for the analog photos and Pacôme Henry for the 16mm film videos. Video editing by Gabriel Cheurfa.

Drop it in your DAW. No digging through folders: every loop of your packs is already in Looper, ready to play. Nudge the tempo, line up a few loops, then drag them into any DAW. Try it with free loops →
Also on your phone.Play your packs anywhere, right in your browser. Nothing to install.
How it works →
Good to know
Before you hit play.
The questions producers ask me most.
01Can I use the loops on my phone (GarageBand)?
Yes – and the easiest way is Looper, included free with every pack: open it from your order email and play your loops right in your browser, nothing to download or unzip. Your WAV files are still yours to download and keep.
Prefer GarageBand? Download the pack on a computer first, then send the loops you want to your phone (AirDrop, iCloud Drive or the Files app) and import them into GarageBand.
02I can't find my download
Your download link is sent by email right after purchase, to the address used at checkout. Check your spam / promotions folder. Still nothing? Write me with your order number and I'll send you a direct link.
03What format are the loops, and which DAW?
Stereo WAV files (48kHz, except G.T.L.A, Processed 70's Vol.1, NoHo Vol.1 and Hazy at 44.1kHz), with the tempo in every file name. Drag and drop them into Logic, Ableton, Pro Tools, FL Studio, GarageBand or any other DAW, and loop them as long as you want.
04Are stems / multitracks included?
Only on packs with the Multi-Track option. Every other pack comes with several mixes of each loop, detailed under the audio player.
05Are the loops royalty-free?
100% royalty-free. Credit isn’t required, but always encouraged: tag me on Instagram @floriangouello or send me your track. I love hearing what you make with the loops, and I’ll happily share it. More info
06My card was declined
It's usually your bank blocking an online payment. Try PayPal or Apple Pay, or another browser, that usually goes through. Still stuck? Write me and I'll sort it out.
07Do the one-shots have velocity layers?
Depends on the pack. White Bat Dead 70's has true velocity layers: each drum recorded from soft to hard, in 4 mixes. In Greasy One Shots, the Vol.1 and Vol.3 kits are velocity layers too (5 mixes each), while Vol.2 mixes velocity hits with very different, more processed sounds. The other packs focus on different drum sounds, with a few soft-to-hard variations.
